I recently bought an Arturia Keylab 49 essential midi kb and have downloaded the analogue Lab 4 and 5 software but will also like to download the UVI grand piano d license software? Can anyone point out how is this accomplished? i dont see any clear instructions online.

From the Keylab Essential product page:

Just scroll.
Keep in mind UVI is another company.

Is it really worth compared to the Piano software provided by Arturia?

UVI Grand Piano D sounds like a real piano, because it is sample-based. Arturia Piano V2 is a massive improvement to V1 but it's not as authentic sounding as sampled-based pianos like UVI Grand Piano D. There are other modelled piano apps out there that get closer than Arturia Piano V2 to the sound of a real piano, but it seems inappropriate to plug competitor's products here. That's what Google is for.

I suggest you try things yourself. You never know, if it's useful for you. I don't have the UVI piano.
This video i think give a good taste what Piano V2 can do when used by a skilled player:

Piano V2 have other possibilities than just a normal piano sound.
