I read that you can change patterns based on program changes. How about scenes?
I'm basically trying to hook up a foot controller to keep both of my hands free.

This is a great question. I am currently changing patterns via program change messages quite well, but I never did try scenes, or know where to start, to do this. Now that you got me wondering this, I hope you can and someone can fill us in.

Hi, I just heard back on this and unfortunately, at the moment, scenes cannot be changed via program change messages.

I assumed that would be the answer but I hoped for a solution.
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it's something that can be added in the future. :(

Me too. I have inquired about this very thing and I was told it has been logged. Now we just wait and see.

How do you do the program changes? I tried and it seemed to me that the KSP does not send or receive any MIDI (you talk about this right) program changes...
C!

In Cubase, I simply create a program change lane, in the controller lane of the key editor, with the pattern number I want to change, so 1-16. It won't do anything on higher numbers, as there are only 16 patterns. In the utility menu, found out what your 4 tracks are assigned to channel wise and create a midi track to that channel, with the output set to the KSP. Then go into a blank midi part and input your program change message.

Ok, that works (used MIDI OX). Must have overlooked it in my former test.
So Program Change sets the Patern on the specified MIDI channel from the track it uses.
Also saw that a Bank Change MSB loads the Project which is in the MSB+1
So I am a bit closer to my wish to make a simple microcontroller which can set up "Scenes" for me by loading a Project and setting patches for 4 Synths. Could be much more easy if I could it just attach at the MIDI In at the KSP but thats not possible (now?!) because it filters out mostly everything....
