Feature:
Tracks Output MIDI channel per project (Hold Track + Turn browsing encoder) This shortcut lets you assign a specific Output MIDI Channel to the current project tracks.
When i try it out the KSP will freeze. Need to restart again. Tried it while playing or stopping. Same behavior.

This has happened a bit during beta testing, too. The solution is to factory reset the unit (back up projects first, just in case), from the Utility menu/Misc. After this, you shouldn't experience the lockups anymore.
-
Test that your backup(s) actually work before resetting the KSP with the current version of the MCC.
I just lost all 16 projects because the backup process silently corrupted or initialized the project saves. No way to know that either due to a lack of a sequence view in the MCC.
-
Same freezeprocess by activating splittmode and "Track" in conjunction with any keys.
No probs during the update or anything else.
Means "browsingbutton" the encoder left next to the display or am wrong?
Thanks

Yes, main encoder to the right of the screen.

Did the Backup
Did the factory reset
Loaded the backups back
Still not working.

Hello !
/!\ To proceed with the update please follow this procedure very carefully /!\
- First open and update your MIDI Control Center to version 1.11.4.1653
- Backup your KeyStep Pro projects to the updated MIDI Control Center
- Start the KeyStep Pro firmware update process.
- Once the KeyStep Pro has been updated to version 1.3.1, import your projects back
Following this procedure avoids project compatibility issues.
We will release a hot fix early next week.

As a note, did that on recent version of MCC.

Hey.
We released a hotfix to resolve this.

THX, it works now.
As a note: I like the selection of the BSP way better. Hiting one of the Step Buttons is way more intuitive. Turning the knob is way more "fragil" for example selecting a wrong channel or the display is way to small for me it is hard to see. I could imagine you reserve that functionality for something esle? Curious to know ;D
5 cents from a UX Designer with 15 years experience. ::)

this new feature for midi channel selection is very welcome and way more faster with the new update.however i think it should be track+step number like the bsp.

+1. I was saying exactly the same thing. Since there is 16 midi channels and 16 steps, it is a no brainer. Pressing a single button is still much faster than turning the encoder knob, then clicking it, to lock it onto a new channel.

Cant understand this . It should be pro-version from artuias keystep or beatstep pro with additional features.
But has other shortcuts and functionality.
Could mean the developers of KSP had never seen a BSP or Keystep. Totaly confusing.
I think I will only buy a product again after a long market presence or numerous user opinions but never on the releaseday.
