As a new owner of the KSP and after combing through all the KSP forum posts It is now clear to me why BoBeats loves the metronome of this product.
The metronome was clearly the most important feature to be rock solid over all the other wonderful "undocumented features" that have made into the present code release ::) The DEVs have there work cut out for them.
