 Can you recommend a good optional 9v DC 500mA PSU for MIDI connectivity on the KeyLab Essentials 61?

No because we don't even know where you live. Walk into any electrical store and ask for a AC power adaptor with a switchable voltage that can deliver at least 500mA (half an amp). They all usually come with a plethora of plugs you can swap out, one of which will fit the barrel connector at the back of the KLE. Set the adaptor to centre positive and set the voltage to 9V. You can't go wrong.
