Title: eLicenser/dongle issues

I'm having serious problems with the eLicenser dongle.

I got my V-Collection today and installed it all, with the proper updates and stuff.
The problem is that the dongle only seems to work rather intermittently.

After a few minutes, it turns off - and loses connection. And disappears from my Control Center.

 Followed all the tips and updated the drivers, updated the soft synths, without the dongle attached etc. Also tried to "downgrade" to the earlier License control center as well - but nothing seems to work.

Also tried my other laptop, to see if there was something wrong with my USB ports. But same thing there - it's on for a few minutes and then it shuts down.

I'm rather tempted to assume there's something wrong with the dongle as such.

Has anyone else had this problem?
What did you do to solve it?

Is it possible to transfer all the licenses to the virtual eLicenser?

Or is it possible to get a new dongle? By whom, in that case?



Thankful for any hints - frustrated as eff, over here.

Do you plug it directly to the computer, or though an USB hub? This latter kind of device is often reported to be faulty, especially if auto-powered; ones with their own power supply are better.

I use a powered hub with four dongles too, never had a problem:

I have it plugged in through a non powered hub...and it works.

The only times it does not work is when I have an usb-stick plugged in that is being accesed by the computer every so many seconds.

Plugged directly into the computer's usb port(s). I've sent you an update of my issues as an answer to the support mail you sent me. Please take a look and get back to me.
