Mute does not stay muted!
« on: July 19, 2004, 03:40:45 am »
Hi there
I started using STorm and have been teaching myself using the Help menu (no manual).

When I create a track (using Static Mode)I normally start off with an Arsenic sequence with all other modules on mute. Then, as the track progresses, I introduce H3O followed by Meteor and Eqinox. However, when completed, I go to the beginning to listen to the entire track and all instruments play at once. The sequence which I introduced the modules is non-existent beacuse all modules are now playing at once.
Why don't the modules remain mute until the point where I introduce them?
Please advise what I am doing wrong?

Kind Regards
Ebster

Just record in the static mode for every instrument you do not want to hear at the beginning an empty pattern :D

Yes, you need to send the "mute" information
for each part of your song. Storm uses the last
information (like channel 1 open, 2 = mute )
until some new information comes towards it.

When you heared all the song and return to start,
last information was "open all channels" and it stays
like that till "close channel 4" or similar.

So do like "EM-T Patrn" said, mark all parts that should
be quiet and use static mode to select an empty pattern.

Best regards,
