Title: Sample and Hold
Post by: JamieK on June 17, 2003, 08:18:47 am
I just took a look at the new MMV demo. Very nice!

One thing I didn't notice is sample and hold (like I had on my old Micro Mg and Multi Mg synths).

Does the MMV have a way to use a Sample and Hold source to control things like oscillator pitch or filter cutoff?

Also, is there a way to patch other audio sources (guitar, keyboards, voice, etc.) through the MMV's filters?

Thanks,

Hello,

There is a sort of Sample&Hold on the MMV. Each LFO module have a wave form which is quite close to a  noise Sample&Hold. But I agree that is not sufficient, and in the further version, you will find a real Sample&Hold which will sample every signal you want.

In the same way, you can not input external audio signal in the MMV, but this will be done next.

Glad to hear that we will be able to run signals through the MMV.
One of my favorite uses for my MiniMg.

Great!  Running audio through Mg filters, something I've been waiting to do on the MMV.
