Little spikes in wavefile coming from MMV
« on: February 29, 2004, 01:02:08 pm »
Hi,

I have been working with MMV for quite a while now but sometimes there appear these spikes in the wavefiles which i export directly from Cubase SX, no plugins added just a bare export from the MMV. These spikes look like little spurts of FM where they seem to drop a very high pitch for a very short time with great amplitude. This is becoming to get rather unpleasant as it makes me use the MMV a lot less. Many times i can get rid of the spikes by using other settings but also many times i loose nice sounds because of it. Anybody any thoughts or similar experiences?

I only have this problem with the MMV, not with the CS-80. First i thought it could be that i used a too low latency but after setting that to 25 ms (Audiophile, 2.4Ghz P4) it also gave me spikes. My thought is that it's a problem with the MMV.

Best regards

Hey Xavier,

I succeeded at making this patch which has a lot of spikes in my export file. Hope you know what the problem is.

Cheers,

Dave
