Can I purchase Analog Lab now and then later on purchase Keylab ? Will the Analog Lab software have to be reinstalled or will Keylab recognize the initial install of the software?
I realize doing it this way is a greater expense… It sure would be nice if you could purchase one of the controllers i.e. Keylab individually of the software. I see this as a win-win for Arturia as well as the user… No?

Your previous install of Analog Lab should detect any Keylab / Minilab automatically, so you don't have to install Analog Lab again.
You could try selling the license that comes with the Keylab - in fact I just sold my (unregistered) auth key that came with the Minilab on ebay because I got the V-Collection.

Thanks for the info. Are you happy with the Mini? It looks pretty cool.

In terms of design it's the sexiest minikeyboard alive ;D
OTOH I've had my share of trouble - when unboxing, one of the glued-on "wooden" sidepanels fell off. No big deal, and I got a 20% refund from the online shop.
The first firmware update got stuck, so I had to force a second upgrade to get it working again.
The threshold of the pads could be lower for my taste, and the minikeys feel a bit spongy, but I'm not planning on playing Bach on them.
All in all, I'm pretty happy. It's a great package for the price.

No doubt, great little package for the buck. Good luck with it…
