Title: Keystep pro question
Post by: marksadle76 on March 11, 2021, 06:00:28 pm
I tried to find the answer to this question, but no luck...

Is it possible to use the sequencer and arp at the same time on the same track?

Example...turning on the arp on a recorder polyphonic sequence.

Thanks!

No, each track can be either a sequencer, or an arpeggiator, but not both.  There is hope for a firmware update that allows us to record arps into the sequencer, but that hasn't yet come.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but you can freely switch back and forth between seq & arp on the same track, and I'm pretty sure it remembers all the sequences. I doubt it would remember the arp tho, unless it perhaps remembers the state of the 'hold' button. It'd be nice if it did .... I'll have to test that later here.  8)

You can switch back and forth but changing modes while hold or transpose is engaged or you when holding notes can lead to odd behaviour in the KSP's OS.

That said, the arpeggiator is a bit of a mess currently so you may not want to use it much anyway.
