Title: Heads up on Garageband 10.03 installation
Post by: Rooby on January 03, 2015, 10:49:27 pm
So, i've discovered that I can, after all, use Jupiter 8v 2.6.6 au
on one of my MBP Pros within Garageband 10.0.3 (OS X Yosemite)

- the other laptop running Mavericks still won't mount Jupiter 8v 2.6.6
within Garageband 10 [i get message saying plugin "needs to be updated"]

Now here's the thing:
Today I installed the new V Collection 4 on the Yosemite laptop
- all of the plugins launch successfully within Garageband 10.0.03
- but after the V Collection installer gave me the option to upgrade
to the latest Jupiter patch - suddenly i get the same message from Apple
that appears on the Mavericks laptop. I re-installed patch 2.6.6 and it's
back working again!

??? ok - so tonight i tried to install the V4 collection by copying the files across to my Mavericks MBP

I copied them from Library to Library & Applications folder to Applications folder

Then when i went to ASC, it prompted me to download a new version.

When i tried to register the Mavericks MBP - i got a "failed to synchronise or register" message
from Aruria. This is peculiar, because the Mavericks MBP is already registered on "My Arturia"  with
the Jupiter 8v that i purchased previously.

Not only that: but now i find that it has de-activated & de-authorised my Jupiter 8v on my Mavericks MBP - the original machine
that i had it running on. So, wow, great - well done Wizard of Mayhem in Arturia, whoever you are. You have totally locked me out
of my main working machine. Well done!

:-[ just in relation to the last point: as ASC has deactivated & killed my Jupiter 8v license - i feel incensed
and view this as a breach of my consumer rights. I feel as if i have been mugged & robbed by someone
at Arturia.
If this issue is not resolved pronto, I will have every justification to pursue a case through the relevant consumer
protection agencies.
