Title: Knob 1 not working on essential 49

All knobs, sliders and keys are good except for the first knob.
What should I look into first to try and solve this?

If you turn on the MIDI console in the MIDI Control Center do you see data for all controls except the first knob?

If so, I think your unit might be faulty. If you do see data for the first knob, you're likely to have a routing problem in your software.
