Hi,
This was THE thing that made me hesitate between minibrute 2 and 2s. I finally picked the 2s because of its amazing sequencer.
But if you could implement triplets in the sequence rate (by pressing both 1/4 and 1/8 to make 1/6 for instance), it would be mind-blowing.
And could you do it also for the LFOs synced rates too?
If it's not done yet I can imagine that there must be a good technical reason that I'd be curious to know.

I agree the limitations could be less, or at least more customizable. It's all a bunch of modifiable code anyways.
-
Yeah, I'd love to see this as well. In the meantime could you get there messing with last step?
-
Another vote for this. And dotted notes would be swell as well.

You can get to triplets using the "shift gate" x3 feature, but it's still very VERY limited. No dotted notes, no sextuplets.
EDIT : By "Shift gate" I mean the "Step repeat" function of a Gate track.

It does the trick. -- Kinda…--
For instance, setting the last step on the 48th step and considering the whole sequence as a 4/4 bar gives you decent results. It's not that simple to edit but you eventually get to the point : sextuplets, sixteenth notes, quarter notes and triplets in the same sequence ! But editing it is a pain in the ***.
If you want to listen to the thing and give a try at editing it :
Tempo 240 BPM
First step, open the gate at about 80%
Copy paste the first step everywhere (steps 2 to 48).
Disable all steps except :
Steps 1 to 16 :
1 - 3 - 5 - 7 - 9 - 11 - 13 - 16
Steps 17 to 32 :
3 - 6 - 9 - 13
Steps 33 to 48 :
1 - 5 - 11
Another problem : the length of the sequence! You end up with just one bar ! I know about the chain function and everything but it's like a using a bazooka to kill a fly.
Perhaps a good solution ca be implemented on the LFO side ?
If the Seq LFO had intermediate settings, sextuplets, triplets and dotted notes. we could play it ! And of course if LFO tracks had 1/3 ; 1/6 ; 1/12 ; 1/24 settings, I think we could get somewhere much more interesting.
We could edit standard 16 steps tied sequences and mess with the LFO destination to triplet the sh*t out of it !

Triplet values would be very welcome

Just adding another call for triplet subdivisions. It's the only thing I find lacking from this otherwise wonderful instrument. I have to admit I was disappointed when I realised (after purchase) that the MB2 has triplets but the 2S doesn't.

I'm disapointed too.. I work several time with triplets and cant understand is nop possible with MB2S :-\
-
just joining to add my request please, triplets and different time signatures please...

Yes please ! I'm very fond of my MB2S but I really miss this feature, while I had to choose the 2S over the 2 for the seq abilities. And working around it is a pain…
