Title: Is it possible to save individual drum instruments?
Post by: rrooyyccee on May 26, 2014, 03:47:19 am
Hello
I'm new to Spark and am having trouble figuring out how to save an individual instrument for use in different drumkits.
I'm assuming this is possible but am not seeing how to do it in the manual.

I'd like to save say an emulation of a 606 kick as a user kick drum. And then be able to pull that sound/preset in another kit. Is this possible? If so...how?

Thanks!

Hi,
you have to save it in a user project.

Hello,

Thank you for the response. But even if I do create a New Project and save the project and kit...it appears that the individual drum voice preset (parameters) or patch (set up of modules) is not available for other drum kits or projects.

Is my understanding correct?

For example, I don't see where or how one may name a drum voice.

This seems like an important feature for a drum machine?

Once you have saved the project, you can access them on the library panel, in the instrument tab.
You can change the name of your instrument in the Studio panel in the top center.

Got it...now I understand. I see that the drum voices appear and it isn't necessary to save each one seperately.
