Just purchased the V Collection 4, all the plugins seem to be working fine except Solina. On the VST performance meter, it is shooting up to 100% as soon as I play something. The Solina performance meter only shows around 7% though. The audio begins to drop out and Cubase will stop playing.
I am running Cubase Pro 8 on OSX 10.10, V Collection 4...

Hi,
i am using Solina at Cubase 7.5.30 64bit on Windows 7 64-bit and i don't see such a problem.
Could be a problem related to Cubase 8 or OSX 10.10 Yosemite which both seem to be quite new.
I could not test at Cubase 8 here but hopefully will get it soon.

Good call! I still have 7.5 installed so I gave it a shot... No luck though, same issue. The VST "real-time peak" meter shoots to 100% and the software becomes very sluggish. 8 actually seemed like it took longer to choke but both are unusable at this point.
Unfortunately my machines are all running Yosemite so I can't try another OS. Everything else seems to be operating fine.

Hi all , i tested this today in cubase 8 and can confirm the the peak cpu that you all have is an issue ,i will send a bug report off to arturia stating the findings , as this is too high and when changing presets this is also overloading the peak meters of the cubase cpu.
thanks

Hi. In my case it has nothing to do with cubase8, I think..... If I play it stand alone the Sound crackels even if the sample Setting of my RME UCX is higher than 128. I hope this will be a bug. All other instruments works fine.

I have the same problem with Solina V (and also the Matrix-12 V) on my Mac running Logic X and Mainstage 3.
Here's Arturia's answer to my inquiry:
Hi,
The CPU issue is an known bug, and an update to fix it will be released ASAP.
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience, the dev team is working hard on this issue.
Best regards,
Victor
I guess we all just have to sit tight.

Where's the info tab? I have prefs and the about button (synth badge) but i don't see an info tab.
Is this in all of the synths
Thanks, Stuart

I've applied all of the current updates and am still experiencing the problem. Cubase basically locks up after playing one note on Solina. So bad too because that one note sounds great! :(

Increase your playback buffer to max, this will introduce latency but you'll get sound out of the unit.
What kind of channel do you put this on? Midi / Instrument channel? I'm not that familiar with cubase, does it have both Midi and Instrument channels like Pro Tools?
Cheers, Stuart

OK, I increased the buffer size on the Duet to 1024 samples and it is playable. I was previously at 128 samples but everything else was running fine. It is still bringing the performance meter up really high though... Considerably more than the the rest of the V Collection. However, I can now actually play Solina with other instruments, latency just isn't ideal. It sounds wonderful! Just wish I had my short timing back...
I've tried it on both an Instrument track and by loading it in the rack manually and running it from a plain ol' MIDI track.

Yep, that should work, although as you say... There goes my latency.
I'd be interested in what machine Arturia tested the 32 and 16 samples on.
Thanks, Stuart
