Title: MicroBrute dead after installing MicroBrute Connection
Post by: arnarmar on January 08, 2014, 12:29:48 am
Well. So I just got the MB 3 weeks ago. Worked well so far. But yesterday I installed the MB Connection software, downloaded from the Arturia website. And after I updated the firmware, as suggested, the MB won't emit any sound. Keyboard doesn't respond, neither does MIDI IN or midi trough USB. When I hit the Tap/Rest button the MB began to spit out random pitches every time I hit the button. But after a few minutes that stopped working as well. So now this 3 week old synthesizer refuses to make any sound at all. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Hoping for a response on this.

please try to apply the firmware restoration tech note available as a PDF in MicroBrute Connection archive.

Hey Bruno!

I just uploaded the firmware of my Microbrute and encountered the same problem, it worked for a couple of hours and then died, all it does now is an extremely feeble high pitched sound.

What can I do?

Thanks!

if the firmware restoration technote does not work, you shoud contact technical support. It could be a faulty external PSU
