Since the Beta for CS-80V2 has now started, we beta testers should have a place to discuss right? Is this the right place to do so? Can we talk about it in public now?
There's no release note that I know of, so I don't know what have been changed in the new version. There seems to be quite some big internal changes in its sound though. So I think it's worth discussing what have been done and for better or worse...

+1 to all of the above.
I can't Remember seeing an NDA during my beta version acquisition, and there is nothing about it on the beta page here, so perhaps it's OK to shoot our mouths off in any place we like?...

I think you should discuss nothing on the forum about the Beta-release.
In the Beta Test Area you'll find a link to submit bugs.... I guess that's the only thing you should concern about until the release version arrives.

The documentation I downloaded seems identical to the V1. Is there ANY list of new features and changes? Hard to test if one doesn't know what to look for.
Anyone?

Nope. There's some newfangled patch browser (/morpher? or what?) in the top toolbar, and the four rightmost performance controls have been inverted, otherwise I have only found sonic and control range changes so far. (I guess the patch thingy is probably also present in the MiniMg V2, but I don't own that one...?)

Yes, it is :)
I guess it will appear in all coming synth-updates.

It would be good to compare notes. So how about it Antoine? Can we post here about the beta?

Now opened : the CS-80V BETA TEST zone (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/smf/index.php?board=53.0) of the ARTURIA forums.
Please read and conform to the first and unique rule I already posted there (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/smf/index.php?topic=3145.msg10237#new).
If the experience is appreciated, same zones will be opened for next public beta test programs.
Hope this will suit you all,
Antoine.

...for the miniMg V2 we could know more about the changes, why for CS80V is it so secret? Or maybe changes are only what we could see with eyes ::)
